Deborah Dee "Deb" Truscelli
Deborah Dee Truscelli, a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2017 at the age of 66.

Deborah “Deb” is survived by her husband, John James Truscelli; her son, James Boyle (Natalie); her step children: Michael Truscelli (Beth), Joseph Truscelli (Michelle), Gerianne “Geri” Truscelli, Gina Percival (Darren), Tonia Patterson (William), John Truscelli (Kerry); and her siblings: Mary Hamilton, Diane Taylor (Wayne), Doreen Kepling (Gene), Jerry Sodano (Janet) and Kelly Semple (Troy); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her grandparents; and son, Scott Allen Boyle.

As a child, Deborah was in the foster care system and today her very special foster family includes siblings: Sharon Curtis (Wayne), Kellie Benjamin (Rich), Daryle Tipsord (Terri), Annie Coates (Bill). She is predeceased by her foster parents Delmar and Genevieve “Red” Tipsord; and foster siblings, Wayne Tipsord and Lisa Tipsord.

Deborah was born in Washington State on January 4, 1951 to Richard Ford and Grace E. Kelly. She graduated from Saybrook-Arrowsmith High School in Saybrook, Illinois in 1968. She joined Chicago National Association of Dance Masters in 1994 and earned her Certified Dance Educator designation the same year. She was an active CNADM member from 1994-2003 and attended CNADM Summer and Fall dance workshops from 1992-1997.

Deb loved teaching dance at her own, “Deborah’s School of Dance” in Rantoul and Champaign, Illinois. She is still lovingly referred to as “Miss Debbie” by many former students. Debbie was proud of her Crystal Executive status with Isagenix International wellness products and throughout her career she worked in the billing department in doctor’s offices in Sarasota, F. Most recently, Deb worked as a Para Educator at Ute Pass Elementary School. She worked with preschoolers and special education students and was a much loved part of the Ute Pass family.

A true passion of Deb’s was her commitment to youth ministry. She mentored many teens at Saybrook Christian Church and Sarasota Christian Church.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Immediately following is a light dessert reception at Sunnyside Christian Church, 2025 N. Murray Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80915.
