Obituary for Ronald Wayne Vroman

Ronald Wayne Vroman
Ronald Vroman, 57, passed away on August 19, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. He was the son of Merlin Howard Vroman (deceased) and Wilhelmine Annalise Vroman (Kyle). He was born February 14, 1961 in Bad Cannstatt, Germany where he lived for 3 years before moving back to the states with his family. In 1967, Ronald lost his father to the Vietnam War.

Being in a military family, Ronald moved frequently between various states and Germany. He eventually attended Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia and then joined the U.S. Army in 1979 as a combat medic. After honorable discharge from the Army, he moved to Colorado Springs to be with his family and earned his associate degree.

Ronald had a passion for travel—his favorite places to visit being Germany, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand. His family enjoyed the thoughtful and interesting souvenirs he would bring home. He was fond of fishing, which was a pastime he enjoyed as a child with his father. He also enjoyed camping and the outdoors.

He is survived by his loving mother, Wilhelmine Kyle, and step-father, Howard Kyle; his sisters, Toni Vroman, and Christine Azzone; his brother, Kevin Kyle; his niece, Megan Smith; and his nephew, Logan Kyle. It brings comfort to know that he is at peace and reunited with his father, Merlin, who preceded him in death.

A memorial to honor Ronald will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. He will be laid to rest in the Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
